About the Role

Join DSV, a global leader in transport and logistics, as a Freight Forwarder based in Naas, County Kildare. This full-time position (Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours per week, with occasional weekend coverage) plays a crucial role in managing shipments within the healthcare logistics sector, ensuring timely and compliant delivery of vital pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Organise and execute daily shipments including groupage, less-than-truckload (LTL), and full truckload (FTL) with a focus on healthcare products.
• Guarantee on-time delivery while maintaining the integrity of products, including handling temperature-sensitive shipments (cold chain at 2–8°C, ambient, and frozen conditions).
• Adhere strictly to Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards throughout all transportation processes.
• Utilise validated packaging solutions and temperature monitoring systems to safeguard shipment quality.
• Continuously track shipments using monitoring tools and take proactive measures to address any emerging risks or delays.
• Ensure accurate preparation of invoices, billing, and completion of shipment documentation.
• Maintain detailed digital records to support audit requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate effectively with carriers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Handle any deviations from standard processes, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Contribute to cost control initiatives while upholding quality and service excellence.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain management is essential.
• Prior exposure to healthcare or pharmaceutical logistics is a strong advantage.
• Alternatively, graduates in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Life Sciences with a keen interest in healthcare logistics are welcome to apply.
• Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in managing stakeholder relationships.
• Meticulous attention to detail, especially regarding compliance documentation.
• Customer-oriented approach coupled with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Comfortable with digital tools, including experience or willingness to learn Transport Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or shipment tracking technologies.
