This ongoing freelance position is perfect for a creative individual passionate about crafting compelling narratives through cinematic, clear, and emotionally engaging edits. You will be responsible for converting raw video material into refined wedding highlight films, Instagram Reels, and short event videos that encapsulate the spirit of each celebration.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit wedding highlight videos lasting 5 to 10 minutes as well as event footage, employing a cinematic and emotionally immersive style.
- Create captivating Instagram Reels and other short-form content optimized for social media platforms.
- Synchronize audio and video elements to enhance storytelling fluidity.
- Apply foundational color corrections and, when possible, execute advanced color grading techniques.
- Ensure all final edits feature a polished, professional finish aligned with project briefs.
- Deliver completed videos within agreed-upon deadlines.
- Maintain effective remote collaboration and communication to clarify project needs.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated experience editing wedding and event-related videos, supported by a strong portfolio highlighting relevant projects.
- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro is preferred; familiarity with DaVinci Resolve and color grading skills are advantageous.
- Solid grasp of cinematic editing principles and emotional narrative construction.
- Capability to sync audio with video, perform color adjustments, and produce polished final edits.
- Exceptional attention to detail with dedication to high-quality output.
- Self-driven, dependable, and capable of juggling multiple projects to meet strict timelines.
- Possession of necessary editing software and access to high-speed internet for transferring large files.
- Availability for ongoing freelance assignments and timely communication.
