Role Overview

As a Founding Operator, you will transform the company’s rapid strategic developments into actionable operational systems. Collaborating closely with the Founder & CEO, you will convert complex strategies into executable plans across product development, hiring, fundraising, legal frameworks, and research coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Create comprehensive operating frameworks including prioritization methods, performance dashboards, workflow documents, and meeting structures.
Lead execution efforts spanning product, research, recruitment, fundraising, legal affairs, and go-to-market strategies.
Coordinate the development of Aurora Origins, managing teams across engineering, design, science, advisory, and contractor roles to maintain momentum.
Develop and operationalize hiring processes— sourcing candidates, managing interviews, and onboarding.
Support fundraising by managing investor documentation, data rooms, follow-ups, and closing procedures.
Drive research and validation efforts involving collaborators and publication milestones.
Automate and streamline routine workflows utilizing AI tools, creating templates and playbooks.
Establish strategic partnerships including research alliances, advisory relations, launch collaborators, and planning for company headquarters.
Adapt flexibly to dynamic business needs and translate recurring tasks into standardized systems.

Candidate Profile

Experienced in early-stage startups, venture-backed companies, consulting, or product operations with close interaction to founders or executive teams.
Proficient in navigating ambiguous environments autonomously, balancing strategic thinking and tactical execution.
Possesses strong organizational skills, a talent for clear communication, and the ability to maintain decision transparency.
Comfortable with interdisciplinary domains including AI, product development, engineering, research, and legal matters.
Fluent in AI-driven automation tools and process optimization methods.
Exemplifies high initiative, direct communication, and discretion with sensitive information.

Preferred Experience

Background in AI, healthtech, neuroscience, psychology, or scientific product commercialization.
Familiarity with seed fundraising and organizational system design from the ground up.
Experience collaborating with technical professionals and managing external partners.
Usage of tools like Notion, Linear, Airtable, Slack, Google Workspace, Figma, HubSpot, Zapier, and AI platforms such as ChatGPT or Claude.

Compensation & Location

This is a foundational leadership position offering a base salary ranging from $125,000 to $165,000 annually alongside significant equity participation. The initial work setup is fully remote. Following establishment of the New York City headquarters, the position transitions to a hybrid model necessitating regular in-person collaboration. Exceptional remote candidates must be open to frequent travel and eventual relocation adjustments.
