Role Overview
The Food Runner is a full-time on-site position located at Eataly al Reem, responsible for promptly and accurately delivering dishes from kitchen to guests while ensuring order accuracy and food presentation standards. Duties include liaising with the expeditor and wait staff, organizing service stations, helping maintain tables, responding swiftly to guest needs, ensuring smooth coordination during food service, tracking order timings, and supporting cleanliness in dining and pass areas. This role demands meticulous attention, a proactive approach, and efficiency especially during busy periods.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in food service or food and beverage operations, ideally in fast-paced hospitality settings.
- Capability to perform expediting tasks to coordinate kitchen and front-of-house timely communications.
- Strong communication skills and professional guest interaction, promoting excellent customer service.
- Ability to safely carry multiple plates or trays, maintain hygiene standards, and present food attractively.
- Fundamental knowledge of food safety and handling, with any prior certification considered beneficial.
- Dependability in shift work including weekends and public holidays, comfortable standing or walking extensively.
- Experience in similar roles and familiarity with Italian or international cuisine concepts is advantageous.
