Compensation

The pay scale for this position ranges from $15.97 to $18.25 per hour, reflecting base salary with possible additional bonuses tied to performance criteria. Final offers depend on qualifications, experience, certifications, and location.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate floor maintenance equipment daily or as needed, including auto-scrubbers, burnishers, buffers, carpet extractors to clean and maintain floors.
• Follow schedules to use automated floor cleaning tools for large surface areas.
• Perform carpet and upholstery cleaning with appropriate techniques like shampooing, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Manage industrial floor care machinery and undertake maintenance and restorative floor care procedures.
• Execute tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, polishing floors, and cleaning common areas with the proper cleaning agents.
• Utilize various cleaning tools and materials including power scrubbing equipment, large vacuum cleaners, and chemical disinfectants safely and effectively.
• Collect and dispose of trash, relocate furniture and supplies as necessary, and maintain general tidiness.
• Disinfect residents' wheelchairs and promptly report maintenance issues.
• Comply with safety protocols and infection control standards at all times.
• Maintain equipment, carts, and workspaces in clean and working order, communicating any operational problems.
• Abide by organizational ethics and corporate compliance standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in operating floor care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, wet vacuums, and auto scrubbers.
• At least one year of experience preferred in a long-term care environment.
• Capability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions effectively.
• Ability to read product labels and safety instructions for cleaning and disinfecting materials.
• Physical ability to operate heavy cleaning equipment and to move or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Capacity to stand and walk continuously within the facility during work hours.
• Demonstrated professionalism and courteous interaction with staff, families, and visitors.
