Position Overview
Seeking experienced fitters and assistant fitters with expertise in boiler fabrication within the heavy engineering sector. Candidates should have completed ITI in fitter or fabrication and demonstrate strong proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and welding symbols, along with a sound understanding of boiler components and manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement sound engineering practices in assembling boiler panels and coils.
- Precisely mark layouts ensuring accurate coil pitch, spacing, and orientation as per technical specifications.
- Collaborate with fitters, welders, and supervisory teams to facilitate fabrication and installation tasks.
- Support material logistics including handling, loading, unloading, and storage duties.
- Engage actively in toolbox meetings and safety briefings to uphold workplace safety standards.
Safety and Compliance
Strictly follow safety procedures such as lockout/tagout measures, appropriate usage of personal protective equipment, and proactive hazard recognition. Adhere to all site-specific safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience Requirements
Senior fitters must have at least 6 years of relevant experience in boiler fabrication, while assistant fitters should have a minimum of 3 years in the same domain.
