About Manukora
Manukora is a New Zealand-based brand specializing in authentic Manuka honey, committed to ethically sourcing and providing high-quality honey to health-conscious consumers globally. Their products are available direct-to-consumer, on Amazon, and through retail partners in the US, GCC, and UK. The company fosters a fast-paced culture that values strong relationships and sets high standards.
Job Overview
As the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) lead within Manukora’s finance function, you will spearhead monthly variance analyses, oversee the planning cycle, and conduct in-depth commercial reviews that influence how resources are allocated during the company’s global growth. This Financial Analyst role demands not only reporting outcomes but thoroughly interpreting them and recommending data-driven actions, all while collaborating closely with the Finance Lead and business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive monthly financial performance by conducting detailed variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast), generating reports that include root cause analysis, business impact, and action recommendations with accountable owners.
- Lead business review meetings monthly, preparing comprehensive pre-read packs, establishing clear KPIs, and ensuring effective closure of actions rather than just logging them.
- Manage the analytical framework supporting quarterly reforecasts, Quarterly Operating Review preparations, and the annual budgeting process, including template enhancements, consolidation, and reconciling top-down and bottom-up financial views to ensure leadership confidence in the data.
- Execute commercial deep-dives into pricing strategies, channel economics, and other significant ad-hoc inquiries, creating reusable tools such as pricing toolkits and channel dashboards that are relied upon in executive and channel discussions.
Candidate Profile
- Exceptional accuracy in financial analysis, with a consistent ability to reconcile figures back to source data.
- Persistent investigative mindset, ensuring every variance is thoroughly explored and understood.
- Commercial acumen to comprehend Manukora's revenue streams and unit economics, bringing insightful perspectives that enhance decision-making.
- Strong storytelling skills, capable of writing clear commentary that allows non-finance leaders to act independently, alongside confidence in live presentations to leadership.
- Adept at building and sustaining trusted relationships across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations, confidently addressing performance issues while maintaining rapport.
- Eagerness to grow professionally, viewing this role as a stepping stone toward advanced career opportunities rather than a static position.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related industry roles.
- Progress towards Chartered Accountant or a comparable professional qualification.
- Prior experience in public accounting is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clarify financial outcomes for audiences without finance backgrounds and influence decision-making without direct authority.
- Comfort with leveraging artificial intelligence tools and structured workflow software to enhance analysis and reporting.
Benefits and Culture
- Join a rapidly expanding, mission-driven brand that values its team members and product integrity.
- Receive complimentary health insurance through Southern Cross.
- Enjoy a monthly allowance of company products to experience their quality firsthand.
