About the Role
Join DHL Global Forwarding, the air, ocean, and road freight specialist within DHL Group that operates in over 220 countries worldwide. We offer both standardized transport and tailored end-to-end logistics solutions across numerous industries globally. As a Finance Trainee located in Kampala, Uganda, you will play a vital role in handling finance processes and policies related to multiple Finance Job Families, including Record to Report (RTR), Procure to Pay (PTP), and Controlling activities. You will support the business by preparing and maintaining financial data, plans, and forecasts following financial standards, policies, and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute controlling and accounting activities adhering to established standards and guidelines.
- Provide clarity and interpretation on finance-related matters to customers and stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve financial issues in alignment with defined processes and systems.
- Produce and validate data addressing immediate finance concerns to enhance data quality.
- Respond to finance inquiries and provide relevant information.
- Manage finance processes and policies for multiple Finance Job Families under supervision.
- Compile data, conduct financial analyses, and prepare summary reports to generate forward-looking insights for management.
Stakeholder Interaction
- Clarify policies, procedures, and facts within the finance domain.
- Collaborate primarily with colleagues within your sub-function to support finance operations.
- Build a network of contacts to enhance organizational, product, and market understanding.
Management Responsibility
This position functions as an individual contributor without direct leadership responsibilities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification with a minimum of second upper class or its equivalent.
- Open to fresh graduates with no prior professional experience required.
