Role Overview
The Fabrication Supervisor position, located onsite in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, is responsible for overseeing all aspects of fabrication activities. This includes planning and organizing production schedules to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet quality benchmarks. The supervisor leads fabrication teams by assigning tasks, monitoring employee output, and guaranteeing adherence to safety and company protocols. Key tasks involve supervising welding and related fabrication processes, inspecting quality and precision of work, resolving production challenges, and enhancing workflows and resource management. Additionally, the role demands training and mentoring team members, driving ongoing process improvements, and maintaining effective communication with project managers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily fabrication operations, including estimation, design, workforce management, and workshop activities
- Ensure fabrication work complies with drawings, specifications, and quality requirements
- Track daily productivity, scheduling, and efficient use of resources
- Review and approve shop drawings and fabrication documentation
- Coordinate processes with engineers and foremen to maintain smooth operations
- Manage workshop maintenance and promote continuous improvement efforts
- Collaborate with procurement for timely availability of materials and spare parts
- Provide training and skill development opportunities for team members
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Between 3 to 5 years of experience in fabrication or workshop settings
- Proven capability in managing manpower and overseeing workshop operations effectively
