Job Overview

The Executive Protection Officer is responsible for safeguarding designated individuals, areas, and assets by executing security measures, operational plans, and managing emergencies effectively.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement protection strategies and protocols as directed by the Executive Protection Lead.
• Maintain continuous vigilance to detect and address potential security threats.
• Adhere strictly to organizational security policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine patrols of assigned sites or residences, securing all entry and exit points.
• Control access by verifying and permitting only authorized personnel entry to premises.
• Operate and monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV for situational awareness and anomaly detection.
• Prepare and submit daily reports detailing activities, incidents, or irregularities to the Executive Protection Lead.
• Escort protected individuals, monitor their movements, and ensure secure transportation.
• Be prepared to activate emergency evacuation and safety protocols promptly when required.
• Suggest improvements to security processes to the Executive Protection Lead.
• Respond swiftly and effectively to security incidents, minimizing risks to people and property.
• Collaborate closely with the Executive Protection Team, law enforcement agencies, and emergency services during critical events.
• Generate comprehensive incident reports detailing actions taken, outcomes, and proposed enhancements.
• Engage and coordinate with internal stakeholders including Executive Protection team members, facility management, and external entities like law enforcement, local communities, vendors, and service providers.
• Provide security cover using current technology and execute visitor scanning and verification at all locations.
• Conduct asset protection checks and anti-sabotage inspections relevant to promoter security.
• Perform route reconnaissance, travel security drills, and manage crowd control effectively.
• Ensure continuous security coverage by qualified security personnel.
• Enforce travel security measures, including protocol reviews, route audits, and safe evacuations.
• Enhance internal security processes by integrating modern gadgets for tracking, communication, and protection, including weapons management.
• Participate in contingency and crisis management drills and exercises to maintain preparedness.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma or equivalent. A degree in Criminal Justice or related fields is favored.
• Professional certification such as Basic Security Officer Training (BSOT) or similar credential is required.
• Physical fitness coupled with proficiency in using security tools and adherence to protocols.
• At least 5 years of experience in security services, law enforcement, or military roles, with practical expertise in surveillance, patrolling, and emergency procedural execution.
