Team Overview
We are currently seeking an Events Officer to join our dedicated Events team. This team focuses on recruiting supporters for third-party sporting events such as the TCS London Marathon, Tough Mudder, Royal Parks Half, and the Ultra Challenge series, assisting participants in achieving their fundraising targets.
The Events team operates within the broader Mass Engagement team, responsible for raising over 23 million this financial year to support Mind's initiatives for timely and high-quality mental health care access.
Note: This position requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Events Officer will oversee the supporter journey end-to-end, ensuring participants in running, hiking, cycling, and other active events receive necessary information before their events, maintain connection to Mind's mission, and feel encouraged to fundraise. Collaboration with the Senior Events Officer will involve supporting areas such as event marketing and logistics on event days.
Required Experience and Skills
- Proven experience managing peer-to-peer fundraising programs and creating engaging fundraising experiences for supporters.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate genuine and effective supporter relationships.
- Experience tracking and achieving targets and key performance indicators, ensuring good return on investment and supporter engagement.
- Excellent project management capabilities, including multitasking across various projects, prioritizing, planning, and meeting deadlines independently.
- Competence in analyzing data and utilizing insights to enhance performance.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and functions, promoting a positive and productive work culture.
- Dedication to applying communication skills to uplift supporter experience through insight-driven and personalized engagement strategies.
