AHT Group, based in South Australia, specializes in electrical, communications, nurse call, and security services, particularly servicing health, aged care, and commercial sectors. The company is currently seeking an experienced Estimator to enhance its estimating team with accurate, competitive cost estimations from preconstruction to project awarding stages.

Role and Responsibilities

• Develop precise estimates for electrical and integrated systems including security, data/communications, and nurse call systems.
• Conduct material and labor quantity takeoffs across multiple systems such as electrical power and lighting, fire alarms, access control, CCTV, structured cabling, data/voice networks, intercoms, and paging systems.
• Scope and provide quotes for major projects and tenders as directed by Site Managers.
• Attend tender site walkthroughs and engage in client meetings as needed.
• Support negotiation phases and facilitate project handovers.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders to define scope, scheduling, and cost assumptions.
• Offer constructive suggestions to improve current work processes.

Candidate Profile and Skills

• Three to five years of estimating experience within the electrical and communications sectors, including a range of quotes and tender preparations.
• Competency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Exceptional attention to detail ensuring high accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with simPRO, Bluebeam, or Groundplan is an advantage.
