Environmental Technician

Position Overview

Live Oak Retirement Community, part of Willis Knighton Health, is looking for an Environmental Technician/Housekeeper based in Shreveport, LA. This full-time role involves maintaining cleanliness and supplying various areas within the facility to meet operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of resident rooms, wards, nursing stations, lounges, laboratories, bathrooms, offices, and other designated areas.
• Utilize cleaning equipment including 16oz wet mops, wringers, dusters, vacuum cleaners, cleaning chemicals, commercial washers, and dryers effectively.
• Handle and manage all cleaning-related duties as assigned to maintain a hygienic environment.

Physical Requirements

• Capable of exerting physical effort equivalent to lifting 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds regularly, and 10 pounds continuously.
• Lift wet laundry when loading washers and dryers.

Work Schedule & Orientation

• Full-time day shift typically from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with shift flexibility including some weekends and evenings based on facility needs.
• Mandatory hospital and departmental orientation after hiring.
