  • Organize, review, and analyze collected data using tools like Excel, GIS software, and statistical applications
  • Keep thorough field notes and logs for quality control and reporting
  • Follow health and safety requirements and outdoor field protocols at all times
  • Manage several assignments at once while working to deadlines
  • Coordinate with internal teams on schedules, deliverables, and project needs
  • Complete additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A degree or diploma in environmental science, geomorphology, physical geography, earth sciences, geomatics, geology, or a closely related discipline
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in environmental fieldwork, preferably with exposure to geomorphology or river systems
  • Practical familiarity with field instruments such as RTK GPS survey units, total stations, discharge and water-level data loggers, and water quality meters
  • Comfort working outdoors in rough terrain, around water, and in changing weather conditions
  • Strong organization and careful attention to detail when collecting and documenting data
  • GIS experience with ArcGIS or QGIS, along with data processing knowledge, is an advantage
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Able to work independently and follow instructions accurately

  • Able to carry equipment and walk on foot for long periods
