Job Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, repair, and adjust all electrical equipment and systems, including fire alarms and motor control centers, ensuring proper interconnection with third-party systems.
- Support fire alarm contractors during scheduled maintenance and update them regarding equipment status.
- Manage adequate inventory of spare parts for electrical equipment and verify the quality of purchased materials.
- Implement energy-saving initiatives to assist in reducing departmental energy expenses.
- Conduct daily inspections of lighting controls, power systems, electrical service rooms (MV/LV), energy meters, transformer rooms, fire pump rooms, room management systems, water tank systems, and building management systems, ensuring correct operational parameters.
- Develop familiarity with building and estate layouts concerning safety, including isolation points.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical devices and document service histories.
- Handle repair and upkeep of electrical service systems and general mechanical systems.
- Recommend system improvements to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Assist supervisors in preparing spare parts lists for electrical equipment.
- Engage in the hotel’s energy conservation program and maintain plant rooms, workshops, and related spaces in a clean and orderly manner.
- Respond promptly to breakdown maintenance in guest rooms and service electrical equipment in public areas.
- Carry out occasional repairs by adhering to specifications and addressing unforeseen issues.
- Prevent potential issues in the hotel's technical installations by following the preventive maintenance schedule.
- Assist with monthly inventory checks of operational equipment.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned, including those outlined on the Engineer Duty Roster.
