Supply Chain and Role Overview

Rocket Lab's Supply Chain team manages the flow of materials and components critical to mission success. This team enables assembly, inventory control, shipping, procurement, and quality assurance of all products. The Driver/Logistics Support role, based at the Propulsion Test Complex near Auckland, ensures efficient material movement and inventory precision across sites, contributing to seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport materials, goods, and equipment between various Rocket Lab sites such as PTC, APC, and MTC.
• Manage urgent deliveries and collections to prioritize high-importance items.
• Collaborate with Logistics and Inventory assistants to fulfill transportation needs swiftly and effectively.
• Ensure compliance with Safe Handling, including Dangerous Goods regulations.
• Restock pantry items like snacks and beverages and handle on-site shopping and deliveries.
• Support meal coordination by collecting and distributing meals as necessary.
• Assist with moving equipment, site organization based on 5S principles, and warehouse cleanliness.
• Support early morning commodity fills (cryogenic and fuel) and maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting and stocktaking.
• Prepare production and testing kits and maintain stock levels for consumables, tools, and equipment.
• Accurately receipt and store incoming goods, ensuring real-time inventory tracking.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety requirements, promptly reporting incidents and using required PPE.
• Perform additional tasks as required to support operations.

Required Qualifications

• Possess a Full Class One driver’s license with manual transmission proficiency.
• Forklift license or willingness to obtain one.
• At least one year of relevant experience in logistics or a similar field.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and capacity to quickly learn Rocket Lab’s specific software.
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and methodically under minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills to build relationships in a customer-focused environment.
• Experience managing high-pressure situations and multiple priorities effectively.
• Dependability and flexibility to work extended hours when necessary.
• Team-oriented with a proactive mindset and dedicated to achieving results.

Preferred Qualifications

• Over two years’ experience in a stores or inventory environment handling both inbound and outbound goods.
• Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or aviation sectors for more than two years.
