Driver Side Lift

Position Overview

This full-time permanent opportunity based in Brooklyn, Victoria, offers a competitive hourly wage with potential overtime and monthly rostered days off (RDO). The role involves operating a side lift collection vehicle under municipal contracts, performing essential tasks such as waste loading and unloading, transporting waste to designated recycling and disposal sites, and maintaining vehicle presentation both inside and out.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate side lift collection vehicle for municipal contracts
• Load and unload waste materials efficiently and safely
• Deliver waste loads to nominated recycling and disposal facilities
• Maintain high customer satisfaction through professional service
• Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-presented, internally and externally

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold a Heavy Rigid (HR) licence with at least 2 years of driving experience or prior side lift operation experience
• Experience in waste management or related field is preferred
• Side lift operation experience is advantageous but not mandatory—training provided for suitable candidates
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical assessments as well as drug and alcohol screening
• Availability for early morning shifts
• Clean driving record and strong commitment to safety protocol
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work well in a team
