Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site position in Nigeria for a Document Controller responsible for handling project and company records in an organized and reliable way. The role requires keeping documentation accurate, current, and readily available to the right people. It includes registering incoming documents, distributing them appropriately, maintaining document control databases and systems, and making sure internal practices align with company policies and regulatory expectations.
Key Duties
The role works closely with project teams, contractors, and outside partners to monitor document progress and maintain strict version control. It also supports compliance checks and audits, helps refine document control workflows, prepares regular status reports, and offers guidance and training to users on document handling procedures.
Required Skills and Background
Applicants should have solid experience in document handling, including use of document control tools, version tracking, and digital filing systems. Strong familiarity with office applications such as MS Office Suite and the ability to work with databases or document management platforms are important. The role calls for excellent organization, effective time management, and careful attention to detail when dealing with large amounts of information. Good written and verbal communication skills are needed to work across teams and with external stakeholders. Experience with documentation practices in construction, engineering, real estate, or urban development is an added advantage. Candidates should be comfortable following set procedures, protecting confidentiality, and supporting both company and regulatory compliance.
