Role Overview

As a Dispenser at Boots, you will be an essential member of the pharmacy team in your local store, assisting pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient provision of pharmacy services. This position is store-based within the UK and remote applications or candidates without UK right to work and relevant qualifications will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions safely, including medicine ordering, labelling, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to effectively manage pharmacy services.
• Provide patients with advice about medicines, referring queries to the pharmacist as needed.
• Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to guarantee safe and legal dispensing.
• Stay updated on new store innovations and comply with operational protocols.
• Assist patients in managing prescriptions through reliable repeats, promoting medication adherence, and reducing waste.
• Utilize evolving in-store technologies to enhance dispensing accuracy, patient safety, and free up more time for patient interaction.

Qualifications and Experience

• Completion of Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 or equivalent, or currently progressing with at least the first year of an MPharm degree.
• Proof of valid UK right to work; this role does not sponsor Skilled Worker Visas.
• Previous experience in community pharmacy is advantageous but not mandatory.
