Job description

Role Overview

Join our pharmacy team as a Dispenser, playing a crucial role in supporting the pharmacist and healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient delivery of healthcare services within the store. This position is based in-store in Kensington, England, and is not available for remote working or applicants outside the UK unless valid UK qualifications and work rights are confirmed.

Key Duties

  • Dispense prescriptions adhering strictly to safety procedures including ordering, labeling, endorsing, and prescription collection.
  • Collaborate closely with pharmacy staff to manage and deliver comprehensive pharmacy services.
  • Offer advice and care to patients regarding their medications, directing complex queries to the pharmacist.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure legal and safe dispensing practices.
  • Stay informed about new technologies and operational policies within the store to enhance safe dispensing.
  • Assist patients in managing prescriptions effectively, encouraging adherence and minimizing medicine waste.
  • Engage with evolving in-store technologies aimed at improving dispensing safety and efficiency, allowing more direct patient interaction.

Professional Development

Receive ongoing training to expand healthcare knowledge and explore career growth opportunities, including paths to become a Pharmacy Technician or join store leadership.

Candidate Requirements

  • Completed Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 (or equivalent) qualification or currently in the second year of an MPharm degree.
  • Possess current, valid right to work in the UK; please note sponsorship is not available for Skilled Worker Visas.
  • Experience in community pharmacy is advantageous.
