About Cora
Cora is a digital bank dedicated exclusively to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Brazil. Although SMEs represent 93% of the 21 million businesses nationwide, contribute one-third of the country's GDP, and generate 60% of employment, they are often overlooked by traditional financial institutions. Established five years ago, Cora now serves over one million clients with a team of 300 professionals working remotely across Brazil.
Role Overview
As a Design Lead within Cora's Account team, you will take a hands-on approach working closely with squads to conduct discovery, prototyping, and validation of solutions alongside clients and product teams. Collaborating with Product Managers, you will identify problems, generate data-driven hypotheses, and establish success metrics for initiatives. Your work will involve designing and iterating user flows, organizing information architecture, prototyping from conceptual stages through to final delivery, and partnering with developers to oversee implementation.
You will also lead and contribute to user research and usability testing, both remotely and in-person, to deepen the understanding of customer challenges.
Leadership Responsibilities
In this leadership capacity, you will be the primary design reference for the Account team, supporting senior designers and fostering their growth. You will introduce and maintain working rituals and agreements that encourage steady progress and clarity in deliverables. Your role includes collaborating with product and engineering leaders to prioritize design backlogs, providing structured feedback, and representing design perspectives in the team's planning and strategy discussions.

- Experience conducting user research and usability testing, both remote and face-to-face
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous contexts and independently prioritize tasks
- A dynamic mindset that embraces rapid testing, hypothesis validation, and progressing from conceptual to concrete solutions without waiting for perfection
- Collaborative and communicative approach capable of influencing cross-disciplinary teams without formal authority
- Active use of artificial intelligence within design processes, with an expectation to elevate the team's maturity in this area
