Role Overview

We are seeking a Department Second for the Bakery team to provide excellent customer service while managing bakery operations in the Bakery Manager's absence. You will actively promote employee development and contribute to a positive environment for both customers and team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver attentive, friendly service to customers meeting their bakery needs.
• Supervise bakery staff when the Bakery Manager is unavailable.
• Encourage a culture focused on coaching, skill development, and teamwork.
• Handle customer bakery orders accurately and efficiently.
• Manage receiving and inventory of bakery shipments.
• Participate in bakery food production activities.
• Merchandise bakery items attractively and according to guidelines.
• Implement SMART retailing practices specific to the Atlantic region.
• Maintain cleanliness and meet all sanitation protocols within the bakery.
• Comply with all company standards, policies, and administrative requirements.

Candidate Profile

• Capability to work autonomously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic and multitasking abilities.
• Minimum education: High School Diploma.
• At least 12 months of relevant experience in a bakery or retail environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges from $17.00 to $21.80 per hour, determined according to location, experience, and market factors to ensure competitive remuneration.
