Role Summary
As a Demand Planner / Analyst based in Franklin, TN (hybrid work setting), you will play a pivotal role in enhancing forecast precision and aiding strategic initiatives within our expanding company. Collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Service, Product Management, and Supply Chain teams, your forecasting insights will support superior customer service delivery and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and sustain demand forecasts at the customer, SKU, and location levels by leveraging historical sales data, market insights, and commercial intelligence.
- Engage with Sales teams to grasp shifts in customer demand and integrate this understanding into predictive models.
- Track forecast accuracy, spot patterns, and propose improvements to refining planning methods.
- Evaluate potential risks and prospects in demand, and communicate analytical outcomes to essential stakeholders.
- Contribute to the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) by offering insightful data analysis and comprehensive reporting.
- Design and update dashboards and reports to enhance transparency and facilitate data-driven decisions.
- Ensure data quality and continuously pursue enhancements in forecasting systems and analytical productivity.
- Work collaboratively across departments to ensure demand planning aligns with broader business goals.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Holder of a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Possess 3 to 5 years of professional experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain or sales analytics, or related analytical roles.
- Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel, especially capable of handling and analyzing large datasets.
- Strong familiarity with demand planning techniques and metrics used to measure forecast accuracy.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capacities.
- Effective communication skills enabling productive collaboration across teams.
Preferred Expertise
- Experience in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Sales Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP), or Integrated Business Planning.
- Knowledge of demand planning tools such as Netstock or equivalents.
- Competency with business intelligence platforms like Power BI or Tableau.
- Previous experience in distribution, packaging, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
- Involvement in continuous process improvement activities.
