Data Operations and Inventory Coordinator

Role Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Data Operations and Inventory Coordinator to oversee the registration process within our research division. Utilizing an internally developed platform, this role covers the registration of chemicals, compound plates, cells, antibodies, and soon consumables. The coordinator acts as the key administrator, managing data intake, registration execution, problem resolution, and collaboration with software engineers to enhance system reliability.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end registration processes by gathering inventory data from vendors and scientists, including chemicals, media, vials, plates, and consumables.
• Execute data uploads manually or in batch mode into the registration system, ensuring all biological and chemical entities are properly documented before experimental use.
• Verify relational data integrity by mapping and linking related items like child vials to parent compounds using identifiers such as Serial IDs, CAS numbers, and catalog numbers.
• Promptly diagnose and resolve system errors to maintain uninterrupted registration workflow.
• Correct or supplement missing or corrupted database entries to facilitate smooth operations.
• Create and maintain standardized data templates (Excel/CSV) to streamline processes.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to test and validate software updates before release.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or similar laboratory sciences.
• At least 2 years’ experience within laboratory environments, compound management, or data operations roles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of laboratory information management systems (LIMS), electronic lab notebooks (ELNs), or biological/chemical inventory management databases.
• Advanced skills in Excel including data cleansing and use of functions such as VLOOKUP; basic proficiency in SQL preferred for database queries.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, teamwork orientation, and methodical work habits.
