About the Role
The Data Entry Operator will be responsible for precise entry, updating, and upkeep of data related to jewellery showroom operations including inventory, sales, billing, and customer records. This position plays a vital part in enabling efficient backend workflows and maintaining comprehensive records.
Key Responsibilities
- Input daily data for sales, purchases, and stock into the computerized system
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of jewellery inventory including gold, silver, diamonds, etc.
- Update product attributes such as weight, pricing, and design identification codes
- Prepare and manage invoices as well as billing documentation
- Review data for errors and resolve any inconsistencies promptly
- Maintain detailed customer databases and purchase histories
- Collaborate with sales and accounting units to ensure data accuracy
- Generate reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Ensure proper filing and management of both electronic and physical documents
- Perform basic computer tasks and operate showroom-related software tools
Skills and Qualifications
- Competency in Microsoft Excel and fundamental computer usage
- Quick and precise typing capabilities
- Strong attention to detail with commitment to accuracy
- Familiarity with billing and inventory management systems is desirable
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills
Educational and Experience Requirements
Minimum qualification of 12th grade completion or any undergraduate degree. Previous experience in retail or specifically in a jewellery showroom environment is considered beneficial.

The role is primarily based at a jewellery showroom or an office setting and involves primarily desk-based tasks. The operator may need to coordinate with various departments as part of routine work.
Salary and Additional Preferences
Remuneration ranges from 13,000 to 17,000 INR monthly, dependent on experience. Ideal candidates are trustworthy and responsible, given the valuable nature of the data handled.
