Customer Delivery Driver - Bletchley Extra

Role Overview

As a Customer Delivery Driver, you represent Tesco directly to customers by delivering groceries to their homes. This role involves much more than driving; it focuses on helping customers and providing excellent service with a friendly attitude. The job is active and hands-on, featuring diverse tasks with no two shifts alike. Drivers operate autonomously during their route, supported by a team of managers and colleagues at the base.

Working Hours

• Sunday: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Tuesday: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Thursday: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Saturday: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of van, trays, and work area to ensure customers receive their shopping in perfect condition.
• Safely load your van and perform all necessary checks to confirm it is roadworthy and reliable.
• Communicate with customers about any order adjustments, substitutions, or short-dated items in a friendly manner, offering refunds when appropriate to ensure a smooth customer experience.
• Handle all products carefully, treating each order with the utmost attention to preserve quality and trust.
• Deliver orders within the customer's scheduled time slot, providing warm and genuine service to make customers feel appreciated.

Candidate Requirements

• Establish positive relationships with colleagues to foster teamwork and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Display a warm and welcoming attitude towards customers and coworkers.
• Be adaptable and responsive to changing customer demands and embrace adjustments while on the road and in the store.
• Hold a valid UK, EU, or EEA driving license (full or automatic) for a minimum of 12 months, with no more than 3 penalty points.
