As the organization expands, it seeks a strategic and business-focused Content Manager to oversee and enhance the content strategy, improve storytelling, and achieve measurable business results. This newly established position within the Brand & Content team offers a unique opportunity to shape how content engages travelers throughout their journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and own the overall content strategy across owned, paid, and earned media channels.
- Create detailed annual, quarterly, and campaign-specific content plans that align with overarching business goals.
- Implement a hub-and-spoke content framework to develop interconnected customer experiences.
- Optimize the performance of content across various platforms including website, email marketing, social media, creator collaborations, paid advertisements, and emerging channels.
- Use audience insights, analytics, and performance data to identify new growth opportunities.
- Drive the adoption and evolution of new content formats and channels such as video and YouTube.
- Collaborate closely with brand, digital, revenue, membership, and operations teams to execute integrated campaigns effectively.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with content creators, agencies, and industry stakeholders to maximize reach and impact.
- Advocate for content best practices and contribute to shaping the future direction of content across the business.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience in content strategy, content marketing, or leadership roles in brand/content management.
- Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for interpreting data to pinpoint growth areas.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Australian travel sector, domestic traveler behaviors, and the influence of content on holiday decisions.
- Professional experience in travel, tourism, or hospitality is advantageous; however, genuine passion for travel, caravan parks, resorts, and exploring Australia is valued.
- Proven capability managing content across multiple channels and customer touchpoints.
- Strategic thinking combined with excellent planning and execution abilities.
- Exceptional skills in stakeholder engagement and communication.
- Curiosity about emerging trends, platforms, and innovative content forms.
- Ability to translate business challenges into compelling and effective content solutions.
