Role Overview
The Construction Project Coordinator, reporting directly to the Project Manager, is responsible for supporting the management of construction projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion while meeting project goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop work plans for assigned projects
- Support tendering and award procedures as needed
- Assist in preparing subcontract agreements
- Help Project Manager and Superintendent with manpower and activity scheduling
- Implement approved project work plans
- Maintain project documentation and files
- Keep Project Collaborator and Timberline software updated with current information
- Update and manage contract drawings and logs, distributing them to trades as necessary
- Attend subcontractor meetings and document minutes
- Provide proper documentation turnover to the client upon project completion
- Collect and organize Operation & Maintenance manuals
- Assist with contract change management
- Expedite subcontractor shop drawings, samples, and materials
- Prepare deliverables lists through specification review
- Set timelines and procurement schedules for deliverables
- Request, submit, and distribute deliverables appropriately
- Maintain logs for submittals and samples
- Facilitate delivery of materials to the project site
Qualifications and Skills
Candidates should possess an Architectural Technology Diploma, an Engineering Degree, or equivalent credentials.
Required Skills
- Between 2 to 5 years experience in commercial, industrial, and/or institutional construction
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Excellent time management and organizational capabilities
- Effective team collaboration skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Timberline Software, and BIM Software
