Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Construction Contract Change Manager with strong collaborative skills to lead and manage the change management team for multibillion-dollar data center construction projects. This position, based in Bellevue, WA, involves close coordination with construction management, contractors, and clients to ensure projects progress on schedule and within financial parameters.
Key Responsibilities
- Master the contract change protocol and share expertise within the project management team.
- Analyze contract terms to detect scope variations and evaluate contractor change requests.
- Prepare multiple change orders, adhere to deadlines, and regularly communicate with stakeholders regarding potential changes and risks.
- Support accurate cost estimation for change orders.
- Conduct Time Impact Analysis when applicable.
- Provide timely evaluation of changes and claims alongside negotiating advice.
- Collaborate with construction management to spot potential project variations and scope impacts.
- Implement strategies to avoid and prevent claims and changes.
- Deliver high-level summaries of changes and facilitate client negotiations with contractors.
- Present change orders and analysis to senior leadership in executive meetings.
- Coordinate status updates with the delivery team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
- Over 15 years of expertise in Commercial Management and Financial Planning & Analysis.
- Remote work capability with required site travel.
- Experience thriving in dynamic, fast-paced settings with multiple stakeholders and maintaining prompt responsiveness.
- Mandatory exposure to Mega Projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with construction and management software such as Procore, Unifier, and Power BI is expected.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role is $111,000 to $152,700 annually, adjusted for location and individual skills, experience, and education.
