Overview
This opportunity invites a skilled Compensation Analyst II, based in the United States, to support the creation and implementation of compensation strategies ensuring fairness, competitiveness, and compliance across a growing organization. This role involves conducting market and job analyses, managing compensation programs, and partnering with multiple stakeholders including HR, Finance, and business teams to enable informed, data-driven compensation decisions that bolster employee engagement and organizational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market-based compensation analyses using recognized survey methodologies to assess pay competitiveness and make informed recommendations.
- Evaluate jobs and apply compensation frameworks to maintain appropriate job leveling, internal pay alignment, and pay consistency.
- Prepare compensation evaluations linked to employee lifecycle events such as hiring, promotions, transfers, and market adjustments.
- Support ongoing compensation activities, including merit planning, incentive program management, salary structure updates, and annual compensation reviews.
- Analyze and validate compensation data to detect trends, advance pay equity initiatives, and generate actionable insights.
- Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and data models to assist business decision-making.
- Address compensation-related inquiries from HR partners, recruiters, managers, and business leaders concerning policies, market data, and pay practices.
- Ensure accurate compensation data management within HR systems with strict confidentiality and data integrity.
- Assist with compensation audits, compliance reporting, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate across HR, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and operational teams to effectively implement compensation programs.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in fields such as Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related disciplines.
- Between 2 and 4 years of experience in compensation, total rewards, HR, finance, analytics, or similar fields.
- Familiarity with compensation principles, market pricing, job evaluation methods, salary administration, and pay practices.
- Experience with HR systems like Workday, advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, compensation survey platforms, and data analysis tools.
- Proven analytical and quantitative capabilities with aptitude for interpreting complex data to derive clear recommendations.
- Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a talent for explaining compensation concepts to varying audiences.
- Ability to manage sensitive compensation and employee information with the utmost discretion and confidentiality.
- Certification in compensation (e.g., Certified Compensation Professional - CCP) or progress toward such certification is advantageous.
