Commercialisation Development Officer

About the Role

The Commercialisation Office at Maynooth University is looking to recruit a Commercialisation Development Officer to spearhead knowledge exchange initiatives within the Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, and SHAPE-related disciplines. The role emphasizes exploring commercial and societal potentials emerging from AHSS/SHAPE research, especially focusing on digital modalities such as educational technology, digital archives, and social enterprise platforms. This involves developing inventive commercialization pathways beyond traditional patent frameworks, including digital cultural products, data services, education technologies, collaborations in creative industries, consultancy offerings, policy instruments, public engagement tools, and social innovation ventures.

Key Responsibilities

The appointee will collaborate closely with MaynoothWorks Commercialisation Executives to support diverse research commercialisation efforts. The position involves contributing to the achievement of established KPIs concerning researcher involvement, partnership cultivation, income generation, training, and impact evaluation.
