Role Overview

We seek individuals to provide exceptional laundry and cleaning services that uphold the comfort, dignity, and wellbeing of our residents. This casual role involves managing residents' personal clothing and household linens carefully, adhering to infection prevention and control standards. You'll facilitate residents' independence by encouraging participation in laundry tasks when appropriate and collaborate to foster a warm, welcoming home environment.

On the cleaning front, you'll ensure a safe, neat, and inviting space for residents, visitors, and staff by following established cleaning schedules and procedures. This includes responding promptly to additional cleaning needs while promoting residents’ wellbeing through professionalism and respect.

Candidate Profile

  • At least one year of experience in commercial cleaning or laundry with a strong focus on hygiene and service quality.
  • Flexible availability to cover various shifts, including weekends and different daytimes.
  • Comfortable using multiple technology platforms with a quick learning aptitude.
  • Good understanding of food hygiene and commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
  • Reliable, organised, and capable of working efficiently independently and cooperatively.
  • Possess a positive, friendly demeanor and value building respectful relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Experience working with older adults is advantageous, with dedication to supporting their wellbeing.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing learning and training to excel in the role.
  • Currently residing in Levin and legally authorized to live and work in New Zealand.
