Claims Intelligence Analyst

Role Overview

The Claims Intelligence Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the Counter Fraud team and various departments by identifying and examining potentially fraudulent claims or policies. Utilizing diverse fraud detection technologies, the analyst will conduct detailed intelligence investigations and document findings in comprehensive reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate suspected fraudulent claims and policies using multiple intelligence platforms.
• Produce actionable intelligence reports aimed at minimizing claim losses.
• Provide intelligence-based assistance to claims and policy teams.
• Present sophisticated information clearly and concisely to relevant stakeholders.
• Support ongoing enhancements of intelligence outputs and products.
• Analyze and handle highly confidential datasets and documentation.
• Understand fraud detection strategies through MI reports.
• Promote robust data integrity standards within the organization.
• Handle Schedule 2, Part 1, Paragraph 2 requests effectively.
• Evaluate incoming intelligence to identify and mitigate exposures.
• Perform advanced intelligence inquiries pertinent to subjects of interest and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain and expand professional connections with intelligence providers, law enforcement, and industry bodies.
• Comply with company policies and regulatory frameworks including DPA, FCA, and TCF.
• Report fraudulent activities to counter fraud agencies and assist with evidence preparation and witness statements.

Candidate Profile

• Solid understanding of claims and underwriting practices, especially in leakage control, risk management, and compliance.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret data swiftly and advise accordingly.
• Effective written communication skills for detailed report preparation.
• Natural curiosity to seek out information from diverse and sometimes non-obvious sources.
• Awareness of current and emerging online trends, especially social media.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills capable of meeting deadlines under pressure.
• Attention to detail paired with lateral thinking and sound decision-making capabilities.
• Preferred minimum of one year experience in Intelligence or Counter Fraud, with familiarity in electronic fraud detection tools.
• Experience using fraud detection and intelligence analysis software.

Additional Information

• This position is based in Liverpool with hybrid working arrangements available.
• The standard working schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM for 37.5 hours per week.
• Salary range is £27,000 to £35,500 depending on experience, plus performance bonus potential of up to £1,500 annually.
• Applicants must have at least one year remaining on a Graduate or Post-Study Work visa as visa sponsorship is not provided.
