The Claims Associate position at Walmart Canada is essential in maintaining inventory accuracy and enhancing store profitability by ensuring correct management of damaged and returned goods in line with company policies. This role involves collaborating closely with vendors, fellow associates, and customers to obtain rightful credits, uphold inventory control, and ensure seamless store operations. Key Responsibilities

• Swiftly and accurately scan damaged and stolen merchandise to minimize losses.
• Prepare and process returns, vendor requests, recalls, and donation items by completing necessary documentation, packaging, and timely shipping.
• Maintain a safe, tidy claims area by adhering to appropriate lifting techniques, ladder use, and disposal of chemicals.
• Follow company procedures for managing damaged and recalled items, keeping claim records current and completing forms to lessen chargebacks.
• Carry out assigned Customer Value Program tasks using up-to-date systems and procedures.
• Provide assistance to Office Support and Direct Store Delivery Associates as needed.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business demands.

Work Environment Challenges

• Manage high volumes of tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment effectively.
• Plan and manage overnight shifts to sustain energy and concentration.
• Efficiently handle restocking and recovery duties ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform physical duties such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting items up to 20 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Carry out repetitive tasks like stocking and organizing with consistent attention to detail to maintain store standards.

Compensation and Work Location

The position's starting hourly wage is $16.95.
Work location: 1203 Parsons Rd NW, Edmonton, AB T6N 0A9, Canada.
