Job description
Role Overview
The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing interfaces with various project stakeholders while overseeing concurrent operations across the project site. An in-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management for at least three of the following areas is required: Ground Improvement; Rotary and Static Equipment Foundations; Infrastructure Development including underground utilities, roads, and fencing; Process and Non-Process Buildings; Precast Pipe Racks; Tankages; Dewatering and Shoring Systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain all necessary permits and licenses from relevant authorities to ensure project compliance.
- Determine and optimize resource requirements, including equipment, materials, and manpower, to facilitate efficient project execution from initiation through mechanical completion within the ACES framework.
- Oversee subcontractors on site to confirm adherence to contractual terms, responsibilities, and performance benchmarks.
- Proactively resolve project phase issues to mitigate risk, prevent delays, and avoid financial claims related to milestone overshoot or extended completion timelines.
- Ensure all activities, direct or indirect, comply fully with project specifications, battery limits, and safety standards, maintaining industry quality benchmarks for construction outputs.
- Participate actively in project review meetings with clients to foster trust and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Integrate Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices into project execution to protect the environment and ensure a safe, healthy workplace for the workforce.
- Assess project progress and generate detailed Management Information System (MIS) reports highlighting improvements, concerns, and recommended solutions.
- Champion corporate initiatives on Carbon and Water Conservation within the project execution phase.
- Drive digitization to enhance resource management and productivity on site.
- Promote innovation and automation to improve construction activity safety and efficiency.
