About the Opportunity

The Civil Infrastructure Technical Group at Dillon Consulting is recruiting a Civil Engineer to join its multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will assist municipal clients in addressing challenges related to aging infrastructure, financial sustainability, and climate resilience. This role is ideal for those passionate about business development and delivering advanced asset management strategies. Positions are based at any of Dillon’s offices across Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the formulation and execution of comprehensive Asset Management (AM) plans encompassing State of the Infrastructure reports, service level assessments, and long-term financial planning.
• Drive business expansion by identifying market prospects, spearheading proposal creation, and utilizing professional networks to grow Dillon’s municipal presence across Ontario.
• Serve as a reliable consultant to municipal leadership and stakeholders, translating technical information into actionable investment recommendations.
• Oversee multidisciplinary project teams ensuring technical precision, budget control, and deadline adherence for infrastructure endeavors.
• Coordinate community engagement efforts including workshops and presentations; collaboration with Indigenous Communities on infrastructure resilience and self-governance is highly valued.
• Encourage creativity by leveraging AI-enabled tools to automate routine tasks, focusing on innovative problem-solving and design advancement.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineering license (P.Eng.) in Ontario (PEO).
• Demonstrated success in building client relationships and advancing business through strategic networking and quality project delivery.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• 8 to 10 years of relevant experience focusing on municipal infrastructure and asset management.
• Thorough knowledge of Ontario Regulation 588/17 and municipal asset lifecycles including water, wastewater, roads, and bridges.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $115,000 annually, depending on education, experience, and skills, with consideration for internal equity and geographic factors. Compensation decisions align with non-discriminatory provincial and federal laws.
