Chemistry Researcher

About the Role

We are seeking a Chemistry Specialist for a contract position offering remote work and compensation ranging from $70 to $90 per hour with a workload of 10-40 hours per week. This role involves conducting both qualitative and quantitative chemical experiments that aid in product development, quality assurance, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Perform qualitative and quantitative chemical experiments to support development and optimization efforts.
• Devise and analyze complex lab experiments focusing on chemical reactions, synthesis, and separations.
• Maintain detailed and clear documentation of methods, data, and results to ensure reproducibility and uphold scientific standards.
• Assess experimental results critically to suggest enhancements or novel research approaches.
• Effectively communicate research insights and progress verbally and in writing with varied stakeholders.
• Simplify complex chemistry concepts and data for audiences without technical backgrounds.
• Apply specialized chemistry knowledge to improve AI training datasets and reasoning processes.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Chemistry or a closely related discipline; PhD is preferred.
• Extensive practical experience in wet lab skills, experimental planning, and using laboratory instruments.
• Strong grasp of chemical reactions, analytical techniques, and laboratory protocols.
• Proven critical thinking and creative problem-solving capabilities in research or applied chemistry environments.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, capable of making technical information accessible.
• Experience working on interdisciplinary or cross-functional projects is advantageous.
• Knowledge of quality control measures, safety practices, and regulatory compliance is beneficial.
