Overview

Joining Walmart Canada as a Cashier offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in retail and customer service. In this role, you will ensure exceptional customer interaction during checkout and contribute to protecting company assets. Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet customers warmly and courteously.
• Efficiently handle and process all purchase transactions, including deactivation of items under the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) system.
• Promote company-sponsored programs such as credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable activities.
• Provide assistance to customers by bagging and loading their purchases.
• Adhere to safety protocols including correct lifting techniques and maintaining a tidy workspace.
• Uphold register security and maintain integrity by careful cash handling, following company policies, and being vigilant of surroundings.
• Refer customers to the Customer Service Manager for specialized services or complex transactional needs.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this role is $17.75.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
