Job Overview

This role involves piloting assigned flights in strict adherence to the Airline Operational Manual and civil aviation regulations. The Captain must guarantee utmost safety, security, and operational efficiency during all flights. Additionally, the Captain leads and supports flight and cabin crew, manages emergencies and unexpected situations, and ensures successful flight outcomes reflecting positively on the airline's reputation.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate the assigned aircraft on scheduled routes while prioritizing safety, efficiency, and passenger comfort.
• Ensure all flights comply with the company’s Operations Manual and relevant regulations, maintaining safe and smooth aircraft operations.
• Attend flights punctually, maintain professional grooming and fitness, and verify the legality of crew members. Conduct thorough pre-flight briefings to inform crew of flight details and procedures.
• Coordinate with co-pilots and Dispatch Team to prepare crew and provide all necessary information including aircraft status, route, weather, fuel, and role distribution.
• Fly the aircraft optimally and efficiently within safety constraints to conserve fuel.
• Oversee all safety, security, fuel, and transit checks performed by flight and cabin crews before, during, and after flights; direct necessary actions for irregularities and escalate when required.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Engineers and MCC/MROs to ensure aircraft fitness and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Ensure accurate completion and handling of all required flight documentation such as technical logs, journey books, boarding sheets, and reports according to regulatory standards.
• Maintain, update, and ensure compliance with the Airline Operations Manual among flight crew.
• Stay informed about regulatory requirements from aviation authorities, Airbus, and other relevant bodies.
• Perform additional ground-based duties like Safety or Security Officer as assigned per airline policy.

Required Qualifications

• Mandatory possession of an appropriate ATPL license.
• Successful completion of technical and psychometric assessments set by the airline and civil aviation authorities.
• Passing the medical fitness examination for Pilots as prescribed by regulatory standards.
• Safety and emergency response training is essential; formal certification is beneficial.
• Basic knowledge of airport security procedures and regulations is advantageous.
• Crew Resource Management training is considered a plus.
• Familiarity with IATA security standards is an added advantage.
• Proficiency with aircraft systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities, including technical report writing and presentations.
• High proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages in Saudi Arabia is advantageous.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 4000 flight hours, preferably on Airbus A320.
• Experience with low-cost carriers is highly valued.
• Solid knowledge of aircraft systems and operational procedures.
• Capability to undertake roles related to security and safety as per airline and regulatory demands.
• Familiarity with QA, safety, security, and audit procedures related to flight operations.
• Ability to implement policies and manuals following approved standards.
• Competent in managing workload in dynamic and high-pressure environments.
