Role overview

Copenhagen Coffee Lab is looking for a cafe team member to join its Essen location. The brand is a craft coffee roastery, wholesaler, cafe, and bakery group that began in Copenhagen in 2013 and has expanded to 50 cafes across Denmark, Germany, France, and Portugal.

The company is seeking someone with a friendly personality, a genuine interest in coffee, and the ability to work well in a busy team environment. Barista experience is helpful, but it is not a strict requirement because training can be provided.

What the role involves

This position covers day-to-day cafe work across multiple areas of operations. The team works collaboratively, and each person is expected to help wherever needed to keep service running smoothly.

The role includes serving guests, preparing beverages, supporting food production, keeping the cafe tidy, and helping maintain efficient workflows at all stations.

Responsibilities

• Make and serve a range of coffee drinks and other beverages.
• Receive orders and interact with customers in a warm and helpful way.
• Work with teammates to keep the cafe clean, neat, and well organized.
• Take part in ongoing training to build knowledge of coffee and customer service.
• Step in to support the team during busy times and handle additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• German language ability at spoken and conversational level.
• Interest in coffee and enthusiasm for sharing that interest with guests.
• Strong people skills and the ability to help create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving environment and adapting when needed.
