Cloudscape, a dynamic Australasian software team now proudly part of the John Deere family, is rapidly expanding by creating innovative software solutions for large-scale heavy construction projects worldwide. Their flagship software, The Virtual Superintendent, is redefining construction project management on major infrastructure ventures such as international airports, extensive road tunnels, and long motorways.
Role Overview
This role focuses on establishing and growing Cloudscape's inaugural sales office in Melbourne. As a Business Development Representative, you will be supported by a Territory Sales Manager and the broader John Deere network. Your key responsibility will be to initiate new client acquisitions and expand the customer base, selling a sophisticated product that integrates huge geospatial data, drone imagery, 3D visualizations, real-time updates, and project cost and production data.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and launch a successful Australian sales division with international support.
- Engage with potential clients already utilizing the Virtual Superintendent platform.
- Exercise autonomy and strategic growth planning in building new customer relationships within a lean team framework.
- Acquire expert knowledge of the product and the industry.
- Foster a flexible and trusting work culture.
- Witness the tangible benefits your efforts provide to the clientele.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Proven success in generating revenue growth in new markets, particularly within the SaaS or high-technology sectors.
- Experience or strong interest in heavy construction, surveying, engineering, or related industries is advantageous.
Additional Information
- This is a full-time permanent role requiring 40 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, based in Melbourne.
- Travel within Australia may be necessary.
