Business Analyst

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join Spait Infotech's team in Toronto, Ontario. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements to aid development teams and stakeholders in achieving business objectives.

Primary Duties

• Collect, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements.
• Engage with stakeholders through meetings, workshops, and interviews to capture their needs.
• Develop comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), user stories, and process flowcharts.
• Examine existing business processes and propose enhancements for improved efficiency.
• Work closely with product owners, software developers, QA teams, and project managers throughout the duration of projects.
• Define clear acceptance criteria and assist in planning and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility evaluations.
• Track project milestones to ensure deliverables align with business goals.
• Create reports, dashboards, and presentations tailored for stakeholders' review.
• Maintain adherence to organizational standards and documentation best practices.

Essential Technical Skills

• Expertise in gathering and analyzing business requirements.
• Experience creating BRD, FRD, and SRS documentation.
• Skilled in preparing user stories and defining acceptance criteria.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban, plus Waterfall methodology.
• Proficient in process modeling using BPMN and flowcharts.
• Advanced capabilities with Microsoft Excel.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL for data analysis.
• Competency with Microsoft Visio or Lucidchart for diagramming.
• Experience using JIRA and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
• Ability to create reports and dashboards with Power BI or Tableau.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Planning and conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Skilled in gap analysis and root cause analysis methodologies.
• Data analysis and reporting experience.
• Familiarity with wireframing tools such as Figma, Balsamiq, or Axure.
