About the Role

PETADATA is seeking a seasoned Senior Documentum Specialist with over 15 years of extensive experience in Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions, particularly in Documentum and OpenText technologies. This position requires strong expertise in customizing, integrating, migrating, and maintaining Documentum platforms, alongside leading complex ECM projects from inception to execution. The role offers hybrid work in Reston, VA with three days onsite weekly, and is open to candidates with H1B, Green Card, or US citizenship status.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and troubleshooting efforts for Documentum applications to ensure robust performance, scalability, and security.
• Customize solutions using Documentum Content Server and related tools such as D2 Config, D2 Classic, D2 Smart View, Brava, CTS, xPlore, and DFC Client.
• Manage platform upgrades and data migrations, including version updates and architectural reconfigurations.
• Architect Documentum workflows, implement business rules, and lifecycle management systems.
• Establish and enforce security best practices related to user roles, permissions, and access controls within Documentum.
• Develop REST APIs for Documentum and other ECM platforms using the Spring Framework, and integrate with external third-party systems.
• Troubleshoot API-related issues concerning performance and security.
• Utilize AWS services (EC2, ECS, RDS, ALB, SSM, SQS, SNS, Lambda, AWS SDK) to create scalable, resilient ECM solutions.
• Oversee AWS deployments by reviewing configurations, maintaining security policies, analyzing logs, and resolving cloud infrastructure challenges.
• Participate and lead agile teams through sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and code reviews ensuring timely delivery of quality ECM solutions.
• Work closely with product owners and business analysts to gather requirements and translate them into technical implementations.
• Act as a primary technical advisor for clients, providing strategic consulting, technical support, and system optimization guidance.
• Prepare and present technical documentation and presentations to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A minimum of 15 years' experience with Documentum and associated ECM products (Content Server, D2 Config, D2 Classic, D2 Smart View, Brava, CTS, xPlore, DFC Client).
• In-depth knowledge of Documentum architecture, object model, and security mechanisms.
• Proven experience in handling Documentum upgrades and extensive data migration projects.
• At least 2 years developing REST APIs using the Spring Framework tailored for ECM platforms.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud infrastructure management.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in both AWS environments and ECM platform integrations.
• Experience with OpenText integration in an enterprise setting.
• Practical Agile experience with methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Proficiency in Java, Documentum Foundation Classes (DFC), SQL, and related programming languages.
• Solid understanding of enterprise security standards, including encryption and compliance regulations like GDPR and HIPAA.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with capability to engage varied technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications related to Documentum or AWS platforms are advantageous.
• Exposure to cloud-based ECM services such as Amazon S3 or Azure Blob Storage.
• Familiarity with other ECM solutions including Alfresco, SharePoint, and broader OpenText experience.
• Knowledge of DevOps concepts and CI/CD pipelines designed for ECM systems.

Educational Background

Applicants should hold at least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
