About the Role

Join Minor Hotels at the Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara as a Bell Captain. Minor Hotels is a global hotel group managing over 530 properties across various regions including Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. This role involves overseeing the bell desk operations to provide smooth luggage handling, assistance to guests, and coordination of guest transportation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the daily activities of the bell desk and porter team to ensure service excellence.
• Ensure timely and polite handling of guests' luggage during arrivals, departures, and room relocations.
• Greet guests warmly, assist with inquiries, and share information on hotel services and local attractions.
• Arrange guest transportation services such as taxis, airport transfers, and valet parking if available.
• Keep detailed records of luggage movements and guest requests for operational accuracy.
• Train and supervise bell staff, manage their schedules, and uphold grooming, punctuality, and professional standards.
• Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary.
• Collaborate effectively with Front Desk, Concierge, Housekeeping, and Security departments.
• Maintain the safety and security of guests’ belongings at all times.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent; hospitality education is advantageous.
• Have at least 2 to 3 years of proven experience in a similar hotel-related position.
• Demonstrate effective leadership and team management capabilities.
• Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Show a guest-oriented approach with adept problem-solving skills.
• Knowledgeable about local area attractions is beneficial.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and public holidays.
