About the Role

Cafe du Parc, located in the heart of Killarney and part of the Killarney Plaza Hotel and Spa, is a lively cafe and bar operating seven days a week. With a recently refurbished setting, the venue serves breakfast, lunch, and a broad range of drinks including specialty coffees, catering to both locals and international visitors. We are inviting applications for an experienced full-time Barista to join this vibrant team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present a variety of specialty coffee drinks and other beverages to high-quality standards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the menu including seasonal items and upselling opportunities.
• Keep the coffee preparation area and service stations clean, organized, and appropriately stocked at all times.
• Provide warm, friendly, and attentive customer service to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
• Accurately process cash and card payments in line with company procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing routines, including setup and end-of-day cleaning tasks.
• Support colleagues in the cafe and bar during peak periods as needed.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking requirements to supervisors.
• Adhere to health, safety, and food hygiene standards as specified by company policies.
• Promote a positive team environment while upholding the brand standards of Cafe du Parc and Killarney Plaza Hotel & Spa.

Candidate Profile

• Previous relevant experience in a similar role is essential.
• Possession of barista training or qualification is required.
• Strong customer service capabilities and a positive outlook.
• A friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to perform efficiently under pressure in a busy work environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
