Role Overview

Your local Pausa coffee shop is seeking a Barista/Coffee Shop Assistant to work a minimum of 16 hours weekly. You'll be central to creating positive customer experiences from the moment the first cup is poured to the last smile shared. The Coffee Shop Assistant role is energetic, hands-on, and vital to the success of our thriving Pausa locations, emphasizing product knowledge and customer connections.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by prioritizing the customer experience in every action to create joyful and effective interactions.
• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages tailored to delight customers.
• Serve appetizing savoury and sweet food items, ensuring visually appealing presentation.
• Maintain food temperature standards to guarantee items are enjoyed as intended.
• Keep restaurant tables cleared and sanitized promptly to uphold high cleanliness standards.
• Maintain exceptional cleanliness throughout the kitchen, service areas, and dining environment.
• Contribute to strong customer satisfaction metrics by providing welcoming, helpful, and memorable experiences for all customers.
• Handle various ingredients including dairy, nuts, and meat products such as pork responsibly.

Candidate Profile

• Customer-focused with a genuine commitment to putting customer needs first in every interaction.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings, to support store operations.
• Experience working effectively within a team environment; previous experience in a similar hospitality role is preferable.
• Friendly, diligent, and passionate about delivering a joyful dining experience for customers.

Compensation

• For ages 16-17: £8.00 per hour
• For ages 18 and over: £12.71 per hour
