Job description

Position Summary

Join Fota Island Resort as a Bar Supervisor, where delivering exceptional customer experiences through premium beverages and outstanding service across various resort outlets is our mission. This role requires a hands-on leader passionate about hospitality and committed to excellence in guest service.

Role Responsibilities

  • Oversee bar operations throughout the hotel ensuring consistently high service standards.
  • Lead daily briefings for the bar team to prepare for shifts.
  • Provide comprehensive and current product knowledge about cocktails, wines, spirits, and beverage service to both guests and staff.
  • Allocate stations and delegate tasks efficiently during service periods.
  • Support the onboarding and continuous training of new team members.
  • Ensure proper bar setup prior to service and facilitate smooth shift transitions.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to maintain seamless service delivery.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years’ supervisory experience, preferably within a hotel environment.
  • Possess a third-level qualification in hospitality or an equivalent accreditation.
  • Intermediate proficiency with computer applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Solid expertise in cocktail crafting, wine, spirits, and bar service standards.
  • Knowledge and training in fire safety and health regulations.
  • Experienced in managing restaurant and bar service operations with full compliance to SOPs.
  • Capability to lead a team effectively, including managing labor costs, performance, and attendance.
  • Fluent English language skills and full legal right to work in Ireland.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
