Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards for the quality and presentation of bakery items including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Ensure the bakery department is consistently stocked and prepared for customer service activities.
• Accurately price and label all merchandise, ensuring correct signage.
• Follow Walmart’s policies related to temperature control, thermometer calibration, food storage, proper rotation of stock, and tracking of sell-by and expiration dates.
• Adhere strictly to food handling, safety, sanitation, and cleaning procedures to support health and safety standards.
• Manage ordering processes, markups, markdowns, and clearance activities appropriately for bakery goods.
• Prepare bakery products following specific thawing and baking instructions to maintain quality and presentation.
• Secure all displays safely and correctly to prevent hazards.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this role is $16.45.
