Position Overview
The role of Associate Researcher I entails independently conducting routine and standardized laboratory experiments specialized in microbiology research. The individual will contribute by executing assays, analyzing moderate complexity data, supporting research studies, and managing laboratory supplies and environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out standardized experiments employing appropriate microbiological research methods.
- Analyze and assist in the interpretation of experimental and laboratory results of moderate complexity.
- Perform assays to support ongoing microbiology research projects.
- Maintain the lab environment and assist in inventory management, including placing orders for supplies.
- Log, test, and prepare specimens and samples, including coordinating their shipment.
- Support new or unforeseen experimental setups and methodologies as they arise.
- Contribute to the collection, analysis, and review of research data for publication and presentations.
- Execute additional related duties as required by the research team.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in science or a related discipline is mandatory.
- No prior experience is necessary; however, a preference is given to candidates with up to one year of research experience.

Compensation Details
The annual salary range for this role is from $58,661 to $76,954.05, aligned with New York City’s salary transparency standards. Actual pay will be influenced by experience, education, and operational needs, excluding bonuses and other forms of additional compensation.
