Associate Product Developer

About the Role

Are you passionate about fashion and enjoy working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment? A prominent Women’s Accessories Company is looking for a proactive, meticulous, and result-oriented Associate Product Developer to join their team. This role demands close collaboration with the Design, Sourcing, and Sales departments to ensure products are developed and delivered efficiently from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain daily communication with both domestic and international vendors to coordinate development activities.
• Partner with Designers to strategize and execute product development projects aligned with the timelines set in the Textiles & Accessories calendar.
• Contribute to the creation of original product concepts, including style, color, and fabric choices that reflect the brand’s identity and market demands.
• Investigate current trends in the industry, especially in colors and fabric technologies.
• Manage and update all development records within the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
• Supervise seasonal product production stages to guarantee on-schedule delivery of prototypes, sales samples, and production orders.
• Design CAD drawings and color variations employing Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Qualifications and Skills

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification is preferred.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in textile or knit design is advantageous.
• Background in product development or technical design is beneficial.
• Exceptional attention to detail, superior organization skills, and thorough follow-up capabilities.
• Capable of working independently as well as in a team setting.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is preferred.
• Knowledge of web publishing and internet applications is considered a plus.
